Good afternoon!
Every year before the Masters, the most prestigious tournament in men’s golf, the reigning champion hosts a dinner for past winners and gets to design the menu.
Champions often pick food that represents their home country. When Aussie Adam Scott won in 2013, his Champions Dinner featured Moreton Bay bugs and pavlova.
The winner of the 2025 tournament, Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, has just revealed his menu.
There’s a family touch with his mother's bacon-wrapped dates and traditional Irish Champ (creamy mashed potatoes with scallions and butter), a nod to Georgia (the state which hosts the tournament) with Vidalia onion rings, and a choice of wagyu filet mignon or seared salmon for mains.
Sticky toffee pudding, described by McIlroy as a “crowd pleaser”, rounds out the meal.
What’s the one dish that would absolutely have to be on your menu? Pretend you don’t have to pick up the tab, like Rory does.

“In our time as a league that is evolving, as a union that is evolving, this is historical for women’s sports… it’s not just for the players that are entering the league or the players that aren’t already here, but it’s the ones that are standing next to her and beside her. And so we’re just really grateful to be able to come to a deal.”
U.S. Women’s National Basketball Players Association president Nneka Ogwumike speaking after the WNBA and players agreed to a landmark new collective bargaining agreement following more than 100 hours of negotiations. The proposed seven-year deal includes a significant pay rise and a $US7 million ($AU10 million) salary cap, marking a major shift in how players are compensated.

🏉 The Sydney Swans will be without star player Isaac Heeney for tonight’s Round 2 AFL clash with Hawthorn due to a hamstring strain. Heeney has been cleared of serious injury, but his absence adds to that of Errol Gulden, who dislocated his shoulder during last week’s win over the Brisbane Lions and will miss up to four months. Despite the injuries, the ladder-leading Swans remain a threat, with Hawks coach Sam Mitchell warning his side not to be lulled into a “false sense of security”.

Senegal set to challenge stripped continental title sport’s highest court
Senegal has called for an investigation and is set to challenge a decision that stripped them of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title, with Morocco now declared champions weeks after the final.
Here’s what to know.
What happened
Senegal were originally crowned champions in January after defeating Morocco 1-0 in the AFCON final. The match featured a lengthy disruption late in regulation time following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review that awarded Morocco a penalty.
Senegal’s players left the field in protest for 17 minutes before returning to resume the match. The penalty was taken and saved, and Senegal later scored in extra time to win the match.
Initial disciplinary action included fines and suspensions for players and officials involved.
Following an appeal from Morocco, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) appeal board reviewed the incident and determined Senegal’s actions constituted a forfeit under tournament rules.
Why the decision was made
The CAF appeal board found Senegal had left the field without a referee’s permission, which is considered a forfeit.
CAF president Patrice Motsepe said the decision was made to ensure “integrity, respect, ethics, governance, as well as credibility of the results of football matches.” It changed the result to a 3-0 victory by Morocco.
Senegal’s Government rejected the ruling, describing it in a statement as an "unprecedented and exceptionally serious decision".
It added: "Senegal unequivocally rejects this unjustified attempt at dispossession."
Senegal is now calling for an independent international inquiry into alleged corruption within CAF, and indicated it will challenge the decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
